Why do you use jojoba oil in your products?

Combined with beeswax, sunflower oil, and our carefully selected essential oils, it creates a natural product suitable for most skin types.

Why do you use sunflower oil in your products?

Why do you use lemongrass oil in some of your products?

Lemongrass, similar to citronella, is renowned for its insect-repelling properties, making it a perfect addition to our beeswax and two base oils. Applying a light layer around your hairline and exposed skin areas creates a barrier that deters bugs such as flies, mosquitoes, midges, sandflies, and march flies from landing. This centuries-old phenomenon offers effective protection against pesky insects.

Just wondering if your beeswax comes from hives that have been treated for Varroa mite? My husband bought me some of your products as a gift, but I am highly sensitive to chemicals and need to know if the products have been from infected hives that have been treated.

We've had many discussions about the varroa mite testing with our beeswax suppliers in Tasmania and our local supplier beekeeping supplies at Pender's in Cardiff NSW have assured us, they have stockpiled 4 tonnes of beeswax pre varroa in 2020 and have bulk beeswax suppliers from QLD on hand that have not been affected by varroa. 

We are very diligent about where we source our beeswax from and want you to feel confident that our beeswax is sourced from certified non varroa mite treated hives. Our products are unique and crafted with exceptional attention and we hope this gives you the assurance that our products are safe. 

How long do you products last?

While our best before dates offer guidance, our products generally maintain quality well beyond this timeframe. Each product is stamped with a 12-month best before date from the manufacturing date.
